Smyles are our in-app points that represent the effort of physical activities. This allows a whole range of activity types to be compared fairly on our leaderboards.

When we receive an activity, we use the activity type, duration and distance to calculate the number of Smyles awarded.

This calculation is based on Metabolic Equivalent Task Minutes (MET Minutes). If you're interested, you can read more on how MET works.

Examples

  • 10,000 steps would give you roughly 400 Smyles

  • A 10km run would give you roughly 600 Smyles

  • A 20km bike ride would give you roughly 500 Smyles
